Small budget, but big results

When we started Four Degrees West (4DW) we tried and tested several Ecommerce engines including Magento, Zencart and Opencart. We continue to keep an eye any new developments too, making sure new projects are using the very best and latest software available. Today we use WordPress and WooCommerce, it’s much easier to use, very search engine friendly and we think it’s the best future proof solution.

Zencart to Woocommerce

We created a website for a customer several years ago, the customer wanted to put their beautiful gift shop online, we used Zencart, which at the time seemed the best solution. The site was now over 5 years old and the database has stored several customer orders, products, stock etc. The site wasn’t mobile or tablet friendly (they didn’t exist back then!).

With a small budget we were able to transfer online the Zencart database and migrate it to WooCommerce. Now with the power of WordPress and WooCommerce we were able to create new website that was easier for the client to use, more search engine friendly and mobile/tablet friendly too. The project took approximately two weeks to complete.

Now the customer has WordPress in theory they should never need to go through this process again. To create a new website in future they’ll simply need to change the theme.
